My professional experience in the field of psychoanalysis spans over two decades. I began my formal study of Freud and his reception in France as an undergraduate at Swarthmore College as part of a larger investigation into critical theory. My clinical practice is also informed by years of immersion in the arts and humanities.
I am a training and supervising analyst, as well as a faculty member, at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR) and the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis (NPAP). I am a New York State Licensed Psychoanalyst and a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytic Association.
My ongoing research activities focus on: (1) the encounter between Freud’s theory of sexuality and contemporary formations of identity, and (2) Freudian theories of therapeutic action. My work has been published in the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association, Psychoanalytic Psychology, and The Undecidable Unconscious: A Journal of Deconstruction and Psychoanalysis.
